BUILD Construction Skills Academy
BUILD is a construction skills training provider providing skills training in a wide number of trade areas including, Brickwork, Tiling, Decorating, Joinery, Plastering, Drylining, Property Maintenance, H&S, Technical Drawing. They also offer Functional Skills up to level 2, as well as GCSE learning in English & Maths. Their centre and its staff prides itself on offering learners an individualised innovative learning experience where they can achieve and progress in a smaller more relaxed setting, preparing them for their next steps. They have an excellent history in retention, achievement, and progression, and BUILD were the Aspire-igen Provider of the Year in 2016.
In-house Training provide Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Hair and Beauty Therapy. Their centre is based in Dewsbury town centre, with the bus and train station being a 2 minutes walk away. All of their staff are friendly, multi-lingual and they provide extra support to students such as childcare, free-kits/ uniform and travelling expenses. They also provide additional one-to-one support for all students.
Motive8 Bradford LTD
Motive8 Bradford LTD pride themselves on being a college that cares. Their programmes of learning are individualised and designed with learners in mind. They offer a wide variety of courses at different levels. They offer courses in Childcare, Health and Social Care, Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Sports and Fitness, Uniformed Services and Business. These courses are complimented with access to English and Maths, GCSE or Functional skills. Additionally learners have access to a good quality work placement that will enhance their skills and experience.
Project Challenge is a small charitable organisation providing 3 distinct programmes of training including; Introduction to Hospitality Level 1 in partnership with The Piece Hall for work placements, Sport and Active Leisure Level 1 and Public Services Level 1. All programmes are for small groups of no more than 13 and include maths and English qualifications. The programmes are designed to be as practical as possible where the Sport and Public Services include a weekly gym session. There is a focus on preparation for work and a healthy enrichment programme.
Quality Personal Development forcesprep
The study program is designed to help learners prepare for a career in the armed services. It will mean they get a real tast of service life while developing their fitness for initial training. This course is not a public service course and learners will wear a uniform and be expected to develop the military values. One of their learners recently thanked them for preparing him to become the best recruit in his intake of 100. He said"without QPD he would not of become the top recruit.
The Hunslet Club
Based at the heart of South Leeds, The Hunslet Club has been helping young people to achieve their full potential for over 75 years. Their work delivers a range of activities to children & young people aged 18 months to 25 years providing an extensive programme of sports, arts and other activities. Their study programme provision for young people aged 16-19 offers daytime courses to help them gain new skills and qualifications in hair & beauty, motor mechanics and catering. Studying in purpose built facilities they will gain hands on experience, essential employability skills and work towards qualifications in English and maths, they will also gain valuable work experience with a local employer.
