Katie's NHS Apprenticeship success
Aspire-igen Careers Adviser, Jo West, recently conducted an interview preparation workshop in conjunction with Leeds City College. This focused on the writing of succinct applications and performing confidently at interview. Following on from this we are pleased to report that all attendees have been successful in securing apprenticeships in their chosen field.
Katie was one participant who took part in the workshop, as she had an upcoming interview for an Apprenticeship with the NHS. She took place in both group interview sessions and a one-to-one mock interview with our adviser, providing the opportunity for feedback and individual advice.
When attending her real interview, Katie remembered the advice she had received to give thorough examples for competency based questions and was confident with her performance.
Following her interview, Katie was successful in securing her position as an Apprentice Clinical Support Worker. She is now in a stable job position and is looking forward to working her way up within the NHS, eventually hoping to become a midwife.
Katie says "I am happy at where I am in my life now. I am very happy and not dealing with the stress of finding a job anymore. I couldn’t be more thankful for the support and advice that the National Careers Service gave me".
