Marcus raises our profile
Over the last couple of years we have had an opportunity to promote the National Careers Service on the Richard Stead BBC Radio Leeds show, usually around 'New Year, New Career' and 'Exam time'. Since Richard recently moved to the 'breakfast show' they have introduced a feature called 'The Professionals' and Marcus Burton, a Careers Adviser from Leeds, was delighted that he was asked to be a part of this. Marcus has been on the show promoting all of our excellent work twice since then taking calls and answering questions from local people about jobs and careers. Hopefully this will continue to be a regular feature and continue to raise our profile.
Click on the links below to listen to Marcus on the show. We think you'll agree that he's a natural!

Employabilty Day took place on 29th June. This is a national day celebrating companies that help jobseekers achieve their potential. At aspire-igen, every day is employability day. However, we were pleased to promote the services we were offering that day, including careers advisers offering appointments in Park Place, Southern House, Pudsey and Seacroft Jobcentres. Marcus Burton also met with the Lifelong Learning Centre to find out more about the work that they do and to see what opportunities there are for us to work more closely together.
