Aspire-igen is an approved Apprenticeship Training Provider
17 March, 2017
The Apprenticeship Levy comes into effect in April 2017. The levy will apply to all large organisations with an annual payroll of over £3 million and aims to encourage employers to buy into increasing the number of apprentices in today's workforce.
Aspire-igen, Yorkshire’s largest private provider of vocational training, employability and careers guidance, is delighted to have been accepted onto the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP). This means that they will be able to deliver Apprenticeships on behalf of levy paying organisations across Yorkshire and Humber from 1st May 2017. Organisations that are listed on the RoATP have been through an application process with the SFA that considers due diligence, capability, quality and financial health to assess their capability to deliver high-quality apprenticeship training.
The focus for aspire-igen will initially be on delivering retail, customer service and hospitality apprenticeships but they are already working with large employers in the region to diversify and develop schemes for other vocational areas such as motor vehicle. They will work with employers to review their current and future workforce needs, look at progression and succession planning, enable them with new skills acquisition and help them to up skill their current workforce.
Joanne Dye, Director of Learning, who is leading the Apprenticeship Training Service at Aspire-igen, said "We are delighted to have been selected as an approved Apprenticeship Training Provider. We're pleased that it has been recognised that our vast experience and expertise puts us in an excellent position to advise employers on how to provide a successful Apprenticeship that benefits both Apprentices and the employer. There are so many benefits to employers who recruit Apprentices from delivering real returns to your bottom line to creating an eager, motivated, flexible and loyal employee . We've got great plans in this area and are really excited about working with employers in our region to get the best return on their levy".
